It's Nice to Have You In Birmingham
Midtown is a hand-made zine that visually captures the experience of being in Birmingham, Alabama — its streets, textures, and everyday rhythms. Every element was created entirely by hand, from raw sketches to layout, making the production process itself tactile, experimental, and inherently imperfect.
That imperfection is intentional. The rough edges, visible marks, and hand-rendered textures give the zine a personal, lived-in quality — echoing the layered, resilient character of the city it documents. Rather than presenting a polished, idealized version of Birmingham, Midtown leans into rawness, treating each page as a physical record of time spent in a place, not just an image of it.
